GANNON UNIVERSITY CENTER FOR COMMUNICATION AND THE ARTS

As part of its master plan, Gannon University wanted to strengthen connections between multidisciplines in human communication studies, media production, advertising, journalism and the performing arts.  In order to meet this goal the various components for the School of Communication and the Arts which were located throughout many buildings on campus had to be consolidated under one roof. The building design transformed an existing three story, 19,830 s.f. office building to house state-of-the-art mediacenter and multimedia studio, multipurpose art studio, television and audio production studio, radio studio for the Gannon’s student radio station, WERG, production office for the student newspaper, the Gannon Knight, a large music and dance studio, classrooms, and student lounges to promote studying and socializing.
